Ohsweken man charged with Impaired Driving

Brantford Police ServiceOhsweken man charged with Impaired Driving

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a Colborne Street location after receiving a report to advise of a possible impaired driver at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

Officers attended, located the suspect vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop at Stanley Street near Darling Street.

Speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of intoxication.

The accused provided a sample of breath for a roadside breath demand, which registered a fail. He was then arrested and transported to provide suitable samples of breath. Both samples were over twice the legal limit.

As a result, a 32-year-old man from Ohsweken stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Operation While Impaired 
  • 80 Plus contrary 

Additionally, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s licence of the accused, suspended
