Kiwanis Club makes $25,000 donation to BCHS

Local NewsKiwanis Club makes $25,000 donation to BCHS

Members of the Kiwanis Club of Brantford made a $25,000 donation to the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation.

This generous donation will be directed toward the purchase of a birthing bed to benefit the Family Birthing Centre.

In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the Brant Community Healthcare System welcomed 1,515 babies into the world.  The Family Birthing Centre has five labour and delivery rooms available with two overflow birthing beds.  In addition, there are 15 beds available post-delivery.

These birthing beds are electronically operated and allow for raising and lowering of the mid-section of the mattress as well as head and foot end portions of the bed.  The bed includes convenient controls and ergonomic design for both mom and the care provider.

The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation is so grateful to this incredible group for their generosity and community leadership.
