City of Brantford’s HipFest will be returning to Harmony Square on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This free live music event, which will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and be headlined by The Practically Hip celebrates the music and legacy of The Tragically Hip.
“The Tragically Hip has a unique power to unite people,” said Jennifer Middleton, Special Events Supervisor for the City of Brantford. “Their music creates a community that transcends time, bringing together people from all walks of life.”
The Practically Hip has been performing the music their fans love for over 20 years at clubs, festivals, universities and colleges, and private events throughout North America and beyond. The band is passionate about the material and especially passionate about capturing the nuances and spirit of the original performances. Attendees will be amazed by the vocal ability and sheer stage presence of Dean Hughes as he interprets and recreates the full Gord Downie experience, all as part of a phenomenal five-piece band which gives its audiences the highest level of energy and musicianship the Hip is known for! Take in the performance that embodies all the best of the Hip and leaves audiences raving everywhere.
