Fundraising initiative almost complete for Cainsville Community Centre

County of BrantFundraising initiative almost complete for Cainsville Community Centre

Residents, business owners, community builders and service groups are encouraged to ‘Come together for Cainsville’ and be part of building the new Cainsville Community Centre.

“The Cainsville Community Centre fundraising campaign is going very well,” said David Bailey, Mayor for the County of Brant. “We have raised $1.25 million of the $1.5 million goal in only a few short months. The community is beyond generous, and we are ready to drive this campaign home. Whether you can give $20, $200, $2000 or more, we appreciate your gift.”

Donations are eligible to receive a tax or business receipt (minimum of a $20 donation required) and will be acknowledged on the Donor Wall that will be prominently located in the main lobby of the community centre.

“This project has been community-driven,” Bailey said. “The community asked for a new place to gather where they could hold their parties, come together for recreation and be part of a support group. This centre will be absolutely beautiful and functional, and I know will host many memorable events.”

The campaign team began seeking major donations in spring 2022. Business owners and residents quickly jumped on board. The new Cainsville Community Centre will be much larger and accommodate 350 people. The design will reflect the natural environment and include many sustainable design features.

Since the construction was announced, bookings have been coming in for 2023.

“The demand and need are there,” said Bailey. “We know we are better together and when we come together, we can make anything happen.”
