City of BrantfordCostco potentially coming to Brantford

The City of Brantford confirmed it has received the full third site plan submission that proposes the development of a Costco retail warehouse with a maximum floor area of 15,105m², and an associated gas bar at 84 Lynden Road in Brantford.

The submission includes architectural plans, civil engineering plans, electrical plans, landscape plans, survey plans, as well as transportation reports and plans.

The proposal also involves the creation of a right-in access from Wayne Gretzky Parkway, improvements to the main mall intersection at Edmondson Street, the construction of storm water management facilities on and off-site, and the enclosure of a portion of the drainage system adjacent to Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Highway 403.

As per the City’s standard development review practices and protocols, the City, together with utility partners, CN, MTO, GRCA and others, are now in the process of reviewing the plans in order to provide feedback to the applicant on this exciting project.

The city said it remains committed to working with the retailer to so a Costco retail warehouse will open in Brantford.
