A Brantford woman has been arrested after a parking complaint led to a firearm and drug trafficking evidence being seized.

Officers responded to a report of a car parked in an accessible parking space without authorization at a local business on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Upon arrival, authorities found a women asleep in the vehicle. Further investigation resulted in the woman being arrested for impaired driving.

Officers also seized an unauthorized firearm and evidence of drug trafficking. They add the woman was currently on release in relation to previous criminal charges and was in breach of her release conditions.

As a result, the vehicle was impounded for seven days. The woman was also found to not have a driver’s licence.
