Police charge man with Operation while Impaired

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a Nelson Street location after receiving an anonymous call to report a possible impaired driver at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Officers attended and located the subject vehicle and driver. Speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. Roadside screening was conducted. The accused registered a Fail.

The accused was arrested and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over three times the legal limit.

As a result, a 32-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 

  • Operation while Impaired-Alcohol 
  • Operation while Impaired-Blood Alcohol Concentration 

Additionally, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s licence of the accused, suspended.

23-year-old Brantford man charged with Impaired Driving

On Sunday November 27, 2022, at approximately 1:00 a.m., patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a vehicle travelling erratically and at a high rate of speed, west bound on Clarence Street towards Greenwich Street.

A traffic stop was conducted and, in speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment.

The accused was arrested for impaired operation and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over three times the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs 
  • Operation While Impaired –  Blood Alcohol Concentration 
  • Dangerous Operation 

Additionally, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s licence of the accused, suspended.

Police charge man with Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver at a fast-food restaurant located at Icomm Drive at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Officers located the suspect vehicle at Dalhousie Street and Alfred Street where a traffic stop was conducted in order to determine sobriety of the driver.

Speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The accused was arrested and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law.

Both samples were over the legal limit.

As a result, a 29-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol

Additionally, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s licence of the accused, suspended.
