Brantford man charged with Impaired and Careless Driving

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Clarence Street and West Street, at approximately 9:30 P.M on Monday, December 19.

A report was received to advise a vehicle is alleged to have lost control while turning in the intersection and collided with a streetlight, causing significant damage.

Officers attended and, in speaking with the driver, observed signs of impairment.

The accused performed roadside screening and registered a fail. The accused was then arrested and transported to provide samples of his breath as required by law.

Both samples provided were over the legal limit.

As a result, a 28-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following:

  • Impaired Operation – Plus 80, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.

85-year-old Brantford man charged with Impaired

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a Terrace Hill Street location in regards to a possible impaired driver, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 18.

Officers attended and located the accused, who showed signs of impairment.
The accused was arrested and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law.

Both samples were over the legal limit.

As a result, an 85-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violation:

Impaired Operation – 80 plus, contrary to the Criminal Code

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.

Police charge Scotland man with Operation while Impaired

While conducting a R.I.D.E program in the area of Erie Avenue and Birkett Lane, officers with the Brantford Police Service stopped a possible impaired driver, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 17.

In speaking with the accused, officers observed signs of impairment.

The accused performed roadside screening and registered a fail. The accused was then arrested and transported to provide samples of his breath as required by law.

Both samples provided were over the legal limit.

As a result, a 44-year-old man from Scotland stands charged with the following Criminal Code violation:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.

BPS charge Brantford man with Impaired Driving

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a call regarding a possible impaired driver in the area of Charing Cross Street and King George Road on Saturday, December 17.

Information was received to advised police that a vehicle had driven up onto a curb and was still there.

Officers attended, located the vehicle and in speaking with the driver, observed signs of impairment.

The accused performed roadside screening and registered a fail. The accused was then arrested and transported to provide samples of his breath as required by law.

Both samples provided were over the legal limit.

As a result, a 32-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following:

  • Impaired Operation – Plus 80, contrary to the Criminal Code

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.
