Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested a 40-year-old man from Brantford and seized a large amount of cocaine with a street value of over $5 million after conducting multiple search warrants.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a report of a suspicious vehicle that was observed inside of a local business property.  

As a result of the investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as a Brantford man and later arrest him at a residence without incident.

Officers requested and were granted search warrants for multiple locations. Police executed the search warrants at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025. A transport truck, tractor trailer, two vehicles, a local business and a West Brant residence were searched by police. 

As a result of the search, over 150 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $5,040,000 were located within a vehicle and seized by police. 

Members of the Drug Firearms Enforcement Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Emergency Response Team, K9, Forensic Identification Unit and our Frontline Platoon Officers were involved in this investigation. 

As a result, the registered driver of the tractor trailer, a 40-year-old man from Brantford, was arrested and stands charged with the following:

  • Import Schedule 1 – Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
  • Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule 1 to wit; Cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence x 2, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
