Officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to the area of Colborne Street and Alfred Street after receiving a call regarding a 33 year old male, suffering from a gunshot wound at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Officers attended and located the 33-year-old male who had sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds.  The male was transported to an area hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

The Brantford Police believe this to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence so there is no concern for public safety at this time.
