Brantford Police Service were made aware of statements made by an individual that referenced a potential threat to a Colborne Street school at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Police responded immediately and conducted a thorough investigation, which included interviews with several individuals throughout the evening. At the conclusion of the investigation, police determined that there is no risk to students, staff, or the school site as a result of this incident.

The safety of students and our community remain a top priority. All threats are taken seriously and investigated in full to ensure the security of those affected.

As a precaution, there will be an increased police presence in the area on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

The Brantford Police Service remains committed to working closely with our local schools and community partners to maintain safety for all.
