Brantford police K-9, PSD Mack found and captured three suspects who tried to flee from police with a stolen vehicle.
Around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, police located a suspect vehicle with stolen licence plates in Lynnwood and Glenwood drives.
Police say they observed the vehicle earlier that night and were found driving recklessly in the city.
The vehicle failed to stop for police at Mohawk Park, police say a tire deflation device was used to try and stop the fleeing vehicle.
Officers later found the vehicle unoccupied in Burtch and Cockshutt roads in the County of Brant.
Police conducted a canine track, while also having officers on patrol.
Police dog, PSD Mack located and apprehended all three suspects who were all hiding within tall bullrushes.
Officers say all three suspects were taken into custody.
Andrew Macdonald, 20, from Waterford is facing seven charges including drive motor vehicle – no licence, fail or refuse to stop and escape by flight; willfully engaging in police pursuit.
A 17-year-old male from Hagersville is facing three charges including possession of stolen property under $5,000, obstruct police and failure to comply with judicial release.
A 16-year-old female from Hagersville is facing two charges including obstruct police and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
Police say Macdonald and the accused 17-year-old were held for bail hearings, while the 16-year-old accused female was released.
