On Sunday January 9, 2022, at approximately 11:20 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the area of King George Road and Oxford Street. Information was received to advise of a possible impaired driver. 
Officers attended the area and located the motor vehicle. A lone man was occupying the driver’s seat. A traffic stop occurred and in speaking with the accused, officers observed signs of impairment. At approximately 11:30 p.m., the accused was arrested for Operation while Impaired by Drug. 
The accused was submitted to a Drug Recognition Expert Examination, as required by law. The accused was found to be impaired.
As a result, a 32-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with Operation while Impaired (drug) contrary to the Criminal Code. 
Additionally, a license suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
