As a result of continued investigation, officers with the Brantford Police Service arrested a 33-year-old man from Brantford for a stabbing that sent a 34-year-old male victim to hospital.

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the area of Market Street and Darling Street to attend a report of a man who had been stabbed at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Officers arrived to find members of Brantford Fire and Brant-Brantford Paramedics on scene. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times and fled on foot. The suspect was identified and a warrant for his arrest was granted.

As a result, a 33-year-old man from Brantford was arrested at an Albion Street residence on September 12, 2025. The accused stands charged with the following:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Breach of Probation x 2

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
