Brantford man facing weapons-related charges

Brantford Police ServiceBrantford man facing weapons-related charges

Officers with the Brantford Police Service received a weapons related call for service at a Market Street location at approximately 3:40 p.m. On Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Information was received to advise that a man was allegedly observed defecating behind a Market Street building before pointing a firearm at an unknown citizen. 

Officers attended and located the suspect and the firearm, which was determined to be a replica, concealed on his person.

As a result, a 23-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 

  • Point Firearm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
