Brantford man charged with Assault after road rage incident

Officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of road rage incident involving two men in the area of Paris Road and Ava Road on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

After one man accused the other of cutting him off and threatening him, both vehicles pulled over into a parking lot on Paris Road.

At this point, the accused exited his vehicle and allegedly punched the victim while he was seated in his vehicle. The accused is also reported to have broken the driver’s side window.

The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. 

As a result, a 39-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Uttering Threats to Cause death or bodily harm 
  • Assault
  • Mischief under $5000
