Police have arrested a 31-year-old Brantford man after an alleged threat of assault involving a weapon.
At approximately 4:20 a.m. March 27, officers arrived on scene – leading to an interaction with police.
Brantford police did not provide more details on the interaction.
The man was taken into custody and stands charged with the following offences:
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Failure to comply
- Failure to attend
- Possession contrary to order
Authorities say no officers or members of the public were injured as a result of the incident.
Due to the nature of the interaction, Brantford police notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit, which has invoked its mandate.
