Brantford 99ers face off against Thunder

The U9 Halton Hills Thunder team and the Brantford 99ers played their second games as they faced off during the first day of the Wayne Gretzky International Hockey Tournament on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

The seven and eight year-olds played a split-squad game, dividing the teams into two units playing on either side of the rink before swapping during the second half. Each half of the game lasts 22.5 minutes and scores are not officially kept.

U9 Tier 1 games are designed for the kids to have fun and advance their skills before moving to full rink as on January 15, 2023.

Brantford 99ers battle the Port Credit Storm

The U9 Brantford 99ers played the Port Credit Storm team during the second day of the Wayne Gretzky International Hockey Tournament on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

The seven and eight year-olds played a split-squad game, dividing the teams into two units playing on either side of the rink before swapping during the second half. Each half of the game lasts 22.5 minutes and scores are not officially kept.

U9 Tier 1 games are designed for the kids to have fun and advance their skills before moving to full rink as on January 15, 2023.

Each team were playing their fourth game of the tournament and bringing plenty of enthusiasm with both teams equally dominating the action.
