Brant OPPBrant OPP investigating series of vehicle thefts in Paris

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is actively investigating a series of vehicle thefts that have occurred in the south end of Paris between February 6 and March 10, 2025.

The thefts primarily involved high-end vehicles, and in several cases, stolen vehicles have since been recovered in other jurisdictions. The Brant County OPP continues to work closely with regional law enforcement partners as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigation Update

The Brant County OPP is investigating a series of high-end vehicle thefts in two main areas:

  • Three vehicles were stolen in the Cobblestone Drive area in Paris.
  • Two vehicles were stolen near Powerline Road and Rest Acres Road.

Several of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered in other jurisdictions, and investigators continue to follow active leads in collaboration with regional law enforcement partners.

Crime Prevention & Public Safety Tips

The Brant County OPP reminds residents to take precautions to help prevent vehicle thefts:

  • Lock all doors and remove valuables from vehicles when unattended.
  • Park in well-lit areas and consider using additional security measures such as steering wheel locks and secondary tracking devices.
  • Store key fobs in signal-blocking pouches to prevent relay theft.
  • Review home security footage and report any suspicious activity.
