Brant OPPBrant OPP charge Ohsweken man with Drug Possession

One person is facing a drug possession charge after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members responded to a suspicious person call over the weekend. 

Officers attended an address on Highway 54 after a concerned citizen reported an unknown person walking on their property at approximately 11:06 a.m. on Saturday April 8, 2023.

Police attended the area but were not able to make contact with the person. Citizens contacted police a short time later with updated information and police were able to locate and arrest the person. 

Police have charged Robert Laroy PATTERSON, 46-years-old from Ohsweken with the following offences:

·        Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin) and

·        Enter premises when entry prohibited.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
