A St. Thomas resident is facing charges following a traffic stop in Paris, Ontario.

a member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a vehicle stopped on Powerline Road at approximately 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Upon speaking to the driver of the vehicle, the officer administered a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Michael WOOLLEY, 29-years-old of St. Thomas, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired and,
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Driving a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on September 1, 2023.
