A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop after observing erratic driving behavior on Mount Pleasant Street in the County of Brant at approximately 9:47 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Police followed behind the vehicle and observed it weaving in its lane, crossing over the right fog line. Police initiated a traffic stop to check on the driver’s sobriety. While speaking to the driver, police noticed obvious signs of impairment police made a breath demand to the driver whereby she refused to give a breath sample.

Brant County OPP placed a 35-year-old female driver under arrest and is now facing the following charges:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80

Officers subsequently released the female with a Brantford court date of Dec 4, a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
