A 56-year-old from the City of Hamilton is facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County members responded to a traffic complaint in the County of Brant early Wednesday morning.

Brant County OPP members responded to a traffic complaint reported on Highway 403 in the County of Brant at approximately 12:28 a.m. on Wednesday December 4, 2024.

A citizen observed driving behaviour that caused them to be concerned and contacted police. Officers located the involved vehicle where one person was arrested and transported to Hamilton Police Service for testing.

Police have charged 56-year-old Amir HAIDARI, from the City of Hamilton with the following offences:

· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on December 19, 2024.
