Brant OPPBrant OPP arrest man in connection to Mischief incident

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to investigate a mischief complaint at a residence on Flagg Avenue in Paris at approximately 7:05a.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the complainant had been receiving threatening messages from a male individual. Additionally, it was found that the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged by the same individual using a BB gun.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Rene LAPIERRE, from Paris has been charged with the following offences.

–      Utter Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

–      Mischief Under $5000

–      Careless Use of a Firearm

LAPIERRE was taken into custody without issues and held for a bail hearing.
