Brant County OPP respond to fatal multi-vehicle collision

Brant OPPBrant County OPP respond to fatal multi-vehicle collision

Brant County OPP responded to a call reporting a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 24 South, just south of Ellis Avenue in the County of Brant at approximately 6:43 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024.

The Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Emergency services, including Brant County Fire Services and Brant County EMS, attended the scene. The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team also responded to assist with the investigation.

Due to the severity of the collision, Highway 24 South was closed for approximately 11 hours to allow for a thorough investigation.

One party was extricated from their vehicle. Two occupants of one of the vehicles were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, this individual was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
