Brant County OPP are investigating a case of identity theft and fraud after the recovery of a luxury SUV.

The victim, a Brant County resident, contacted police on March 27 after receiving a call from a financial institution about an account they had not opened.

After contacting police, they determined that an unknown suspect used forged documents to buy a luxury vehicle in December 2022.

Officers say the vehicle was recovered in Toronto in April.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
