Brantford police are investigating a stabbing that sent a woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m. officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a bar located at Market Street and Chatham Street after receiving a report of an injured female who had sustained a stab wound. 

Investigation determined that a verbal dispute between the victim and the suspect occurred inside the bar with the assault occurring once they were outside. The female suspect fled prior to police arrival and is wanted by police. Officers attended and located the victim who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Brantford police are releasing the name and photograph of the individual wanted for the recent stabbing and are asking for information from the public in an effort to locate and arrest the suspect.

Takia GREENE, age 22, of Ohsweken, has been identified as the suspect and is wanted for this violent incident. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of GREENE, who faces the charge of Aggravated Assault.
