Officers with the Brantford Police Service responded after a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a Bilanski Farm Road residence at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Officers blocked the stolen vehicle at the intersection of Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Elgin Street. The accused rammed the two police cruisers with the stolen vehicle in an attempt to flee. Both cruisers were significantly damaged.

The accused then left the stolen vehicle in the intersection and ran towards Campbell Street. Officers chased the accused to Elgin Street and Stanley Street where he was placed under arrest.

As a result of the incident, a 21-year-old man from Quebec was arrested and stands charged with the following:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
