Brantford police are investigating the attempted robbery of a convenience store and are seeking information from the public to help identify the suspects.

Members of the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of an attempted robbery of a convenience store located at Brant Avenue near Church Street at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Information was received to indicate one male suspect entered the business with his face concealed and demanded cash from the store employee. The suspect did not obtain any cash and fled the scene on foot.

Physical injuries were not reported as a result of the incident.

A K9 track was initiated, and the area was closed to local traffic temporarily in order to conduct the investigation.

The suspect remains outstanding and is described as follows:

  • Male, average build, wearing a light grey winter coat or zippered hooded sweater, black-brimmed hat, blue jeans, black running shoes, brown gloves, and a black and white scarf used to conceal his face.
