Brantford Police ServiceBPS arrest 25-year-old man after stabbing incident

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a residence in the area of Mintern Avenue and Blossie Street after receiving a report of an injured male who had sustained a stab wound at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Sunday March 9, 2025.

Officers attended the residence, where they located a lone male outside, who was identified as the suspect in this matter. The male was taken into custody without incident. Upon entering the residence, a lone male victim was located inside and was found to be suffering from a stab wound. The victim was subsequently taken to hospital. The accused and the victim are known to each other.  

No threat to public safety exists as a result of this incident. In addition to frontline patrol, members of the Brantford Police Services’ Major Crime Unit along with the Forensic Identification Unit are continuing to investigate the incident.
