Brantford Police Service18-year-old woman facing Stunt Driving and Speeding charges

Officers conducting road safety enforcement, specifically for aggressive speeding, in the area of King George Road between Powerline Road and Governors Road, observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023.

The vehicle was recorded travelling at a speed of 130 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone and a traffic stop was conducted. 

As a result, an 18-year-old female from Kitchener stands charged with the following Highway Traffic Act violations:

  • Drive motor vehicle-perform stunt “speeding by 50 or more kilometers per hour in the 80 km an hour or more zone.” 
  • Speeding 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/hr zone

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the motor vehicle was impounded.
