Police charge 13-year-old female with Uttering Threats and Assault with a Weapon

Brantford Police ServicePolice charge 13-year-old female with Uttering Threats and Assault with a Weapon

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a location at Lynden Road and Wayne Gretzky Parkway, after receiving information that a group of young females had threatened a group of young males with a knife at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Investigation revealed that the accused female, had allegedly threatened the victim, a 13-year-old male, with a folding pocketknife. 

The accused had left the scene prior to police arrival. 

Police subsequently located the accused at a nearby location. 

As a result of police investigation, the accused youth, a 13-year-old female, has been arrested and stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences: 

  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm 
  • Assault with a weapon 
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
