Brantford man facing multiple weapons offences

On Friday, November 25, 2022, at approximately 10:30 P.M., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a weapons related call in the area of Victoria Park, Market Street.

A report was received to advise that a 38-year-old male victim was threatened to be stabbed by another man after a brief verbal dispute.

Officers attended, located, and arrested the accused. Search incident to arrest located a spring-loaded knife in possession of the accused.

Additionally, it was determined that the accused was in violation of a valid undertaking.

As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences: 

  • Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Fail to Comply with an Undertaking
