Brantford Police charge 51-year-old with Theft

Brantford Police ServiceBrantford Police charge 51-year-old with Theft

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a Colborne Street West retail location, to investigate a report of a theft that occurred overnight at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Investigation revealed that a male had entered the retail location at approximately 3:00 A.M. and removed a charity donation container before leaving the store on foot. 

Officers identified the suspect, who was determined to be in violation of a valid Probation Order. Officers located the accused nearby, who was arrested without incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences: 

  • Theft Under $5000 
  • Breach of Probation
