Police charge Brantford woman with Impaired Operation

Police were dispatched to attend the area of Dunsdon Street and Park Road North after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

An alert citizen called 911 to report that they observed a vehicle driving erratically.

Officers attended and located the vehicle travelling eastbound on Dunsdon Street near Wayne Gretzky Parkway. A traffic stop was initiated.

Speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment and the accused was arrested and transported to complete a drug recognition evaluation.

The evaluation found the accused to be impaired by drugs.

As a result, a 23-year-old female from Brantford stands charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance contrary to the Criminal Code.

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle impounded.
