Police charge Brantford woman with weapons offences

Brantford Police ServicePolice charge Brantford woman with weapons offences

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a weapons related call in the area of Superior Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022.

It was reported that a verbal dispute between two women escalated when one threatened the other with a small knife.

The accused then dropped the knife and fled the area on foot. No physical injuries were sustained. 

Officers attended and located the accused at a nearby location where she was arrested.

The knife was located and recovered by Brantford police. 

As a result of this investigation, a 26-year-old female from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 
  • Assault with a Weapon
