Brantford Police Service concluded an investigation into an assault involving youth that was brought to police attention after a video of the incident circulated on social media.
As a result of the investigation:
- A 13-year-old female has been charged with Assault
- A 12-year-old female has been charged with Assault
Investigators also identified an 11-year-old male who would have been charged in relation to the incident. However, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, children under the age of 12 cannot be criminally charged.
As this matter involves young persons, no further information will be released.
