It was a beautiful day on the course at the 20th Annual Drive Out Hunger Charity Golf Tournament, which was held at the Walter Gretzky Municipal Golf Course on Friday, May 29, 2026.
The tournament welcomed 125 golfers for a day of friendly competition, community spirit and kindness and raised over $32,000 and 400 pounds in support of the Brantford Food Bank.
Funds and food collected through the event go directly back into the community, supporting individuals and families in the Brantford-Brant community with nutritious food and grocery items. As the demand for food support continues to rise with one in four individuals in Brantford-Brant Haldimand Norfolk experiencing food insecurity, events like the Drive Out Hunger Charity Golf Tournament play a vital role in ensuring that no one in our community faces hunger alone.
“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown by the community”, said Heather Vanner, Executive Director of Community Resource Service for the Brantford Food Bank. “The success of this event for the past 20 years demonstrates what can be accomplished when local businesses and community members come together to make a difference. Every dollar raised and every pound of food collected will help us to continue serving our neighbours in need.”
The Brantford Food Bank would like to extend it’s sincere thanks to all the tournament sponsors, volunteers, raffle prize donors, and golfers whose generosity made the event possible. A special thank you is extended to Frontier Building Group for their Platinum Sponsorship and continued support, helping address food insecurity in our community.
