Six people arrested after drug trafficking investigation

Brantford Police ServiceSix people arrested after drug trafficking investigation

In the winter of 2026, the Brantford Police Service Core Engagement and Response Team (CERT) initiated a drug trafficking investigation in relation to a residence located in the downtown core.

Members of CERT, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, at the residence on Friday, February 27, 2026.

As a result of the search, investigators seized:

  • 770 hydromorphone pills
  • 173 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 136.6 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 9.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine

The total estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $70,942. Additional evidence consistent with drug trafficking was also located and seized.

As a result of the investigation:

A 44-year-old male from Brampton, Ontario, has been charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, and Heroin), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

 A 33-year-old male from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, and Heroin), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

 A 62-year-old female from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, and Heroin), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

 A 39-year-old female from Brantford, Ontario, has been charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, and Heroin), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

 A 62-year-old male from Brantford, Ontario, is to be charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Hydromorphone, and Heroin), contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

 Additionally, a 28-year-old male from Brantford has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl), contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
