Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested two youths after a disturbance downtown on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
One youth has been charged with several weapons related offences.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., multiple reports were received to report that several youths were antagonizing an adult male in the area of Dalhousie Street and Queen Street. One of the accused is reported to have pointed a firearm at the victim after also throwing ice and snowballs at him.
The people involved in the dispute then entered the lobby of a Water Street building where they are reported to have created a disturbance.
Officers attended and located the suspects at a Market Street South plaza. A replica firearm was located by police and seized.
The victim did not report any physical injuries.
Investigation revealed that one of the youths, a 13-year-old male, was in violation of an Undertaking. Additionally, a 15-year-old male was found to be in violation of a valid court order and a judicial release order.
As a result of the incident, the two youths were arrested and charged. The 15-year-old male from Brantford was arrested, held for bail hearing, and stands charged with the following:
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Assault With a Weapon
- Point Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Disobeying Court Order
- Failure to Comply with Judicial Release
And the 13-year-old male from Brantford stands charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking.
