Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested a Brantford man and seized fentanyl, hydromorphone, and cocaine after conducting a search warrant at a Dundas Street residence.
In October 2025, a drug trafficking investigation was launched by the Brantford Police Service Drug and Firearm Enforcement Unit. As a result of the investigation, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant was granted for the search of the Dundas Street residence.
On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Brantford Police Service Emergency Response Team and Drug Enforcement and Firearms Unit executed the search warrant with the assistance of the Criminal Intelligence Unit, Forensic Identification Section and Uniform Patrol. Officers located and seized the following:
- 39.7 grams of fentanyl
- 5.1 grams of cocaine
- 764 Dilaudid (hydromorphone) pills
- Digital scales and drug paraphernalia
- Crossbow and arrows
- Various firearm ammunition
Investigation revealed that the accused was in violation of a probation order and seven weapons/firearm related prohibition orders.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old man from Brantford was arrested and stands charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking; Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Hydromorphone
- Firearm or Weapon: Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order x 7
- Probation Order: Non-Compliance
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
