Brantford police are investigating a suspicious house fire earlier this week and are looking for a suspect.

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a home around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025 in the area of Darling Street near Drummond Street.

Three young men inside managed to escape and called 911. Investigators have determined the fire started in the basement.

Police have released CCTV footage of a suspect who is described as white, with dark shoulder-length hair, and was wearing glasses, a black jacket with a fur-lined trim hood, checkered-coloured pajama pants, a winter hat and dark shoes.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, referring to incident number 25-46425.
