Brant OPPOPP charge Brantford man following traffic stop

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment has arrested and charged an individual following a traffic stop in the County of Brant on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

At approximately 10:53 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on McBay Road. It was determined through investigation that the driver was operating a motor vehicle while disqualified and under suspension.

As a result, Carlos Zamora, a 42-year-old male from Brantford has been charged with:

  • Operate a Conveyance while Prohibited, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension X 2, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Speeding 1- 49 km/hr, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused was released and will have to attend Brantford Criminal Court on Friday, November 21, 2025 in answer to the charges.

The OPP reminds all motorists of the importance of ensuring they are properly licensed before operating a motor vehicle.
