Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested three men and seized a large amount of fentanyl, carfentanyl, and cocaine after conducting a search warrant at a Darling Street residence.

In September 2025, a drug trafficking investigation was launched by the Brantford Police Service Drug and Firearm Enforcement Unit. Police noted that the residence in question is located within the city’s downtown core, close to student housing, schools, and community services such as the courthouse and probation office. Due to the high volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area, the presence of drug trafficking activity created a heightened risk to members of the public.

As a result of the investigation, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant was granted for the search of the Darling Street residence.

On September 4, 2025, members of the Brantford Police Service Emergency Response Team and the Drug Enforcement and Firearm Unit executed the search warrant. Officers located and seized the following:

  • Approximately 300 grams of fentanyl
  • Approximately 14.4 grams of cocaine
  • Approximately 0.9 grams of carfentanyl
  • 601 Dilaudid (hydromorphone) pills
  • Two replica firearms
  • Digital scales and drug paraphernalia
  • A large quantity of Canadian Currency

As a result of the investigation, a man from Ajax and two men from Brantford (ages, 38, 42, and 25) were arrested and each charged with the following:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking; Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking; Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Hydromorphine

The accused were held for a bail hearing.
