Brant OPPOPP charge Brant County resident with Impaired Driving

One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic complaint in the Town of Paris.

Members of Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on William Street in the Town of Paris at 12:09 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, Amanda COOK, 37-years-old from Brant County, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Drive while under suspension

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brantford on July 10, 2025.
