Brantford Police Service65-year-old man dead following two-vehicle collision in Brantford

Police are investigating after a 65-year-old man was killed in a serious two-vehicle collision in Brantford on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

Officers say they were dispatched for reports of a collision at the Cockshutt Bridge on Erie Avenue around 7:40 p.m.

The victim, who is not a resident of Brantford, was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, police have not confirmed how many people were involved in the incident or if there were any other injuries.

Erie Avenue at the Cockshutt Bridge remained closed for several hours as the collision reconstruction unit investigated, but has since re-opened.

An investigation into the collision is active and ongoing.
