35-year-old man facing Assault and Mischief charges

Brantford Police Service35-year-old man facing Assault and Mischief charges

Officers with the Brantford Police were dispatched to attend a disturbance at a business located near Market Street and Darling Street at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

It was reported that a man allegedly smashed a window of the business and, after being confronted by a security guard, became physically assaultive towards the guard. 

Officers attended the scene and placed the accused under arrest.

Information received indicated that the accused was in violation of a valid probation order.

As a result of the incident, a 35-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:  

  • Mischief under $5000
  • Assault 
  • Breach of probation
