Brantford Police Service20-year-old facing Stunt Driving and Speeding charges

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were conducting speed enforcement on Wright Street at Hardy Road when a motorist was observed travelling at a high rate of speed at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023.

The motor vehicle was recorded travelling at 105 km/hr in a 50km/hr zone.

A traffic stop was initiated and as a result, a 20-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following:

  • Driver motor vehicle preform stunt – speeding by 40 or more km/hr in a zone that is less than 80 km/hr and
  • Speeding – travelling 105 Km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Additionally, the vehicle was impounded, and the driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days.
