Officers conducting road safety enforcement, specifically for aggressive speeding, in the area of King George Road between Powerline Road and Governors Road, observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023.
The vehicle was recorded travelling at a speed of 130 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone and a traffic stop was conducted.
As a result, an 18-year-old female from Kitchener stands charged with the following Highway Traffic Act violations:
- Drive motor vehicle-perform stunt “speeding by 50 or more kilometers per hour in the 80 km an hour or more zone.”
- Speeding 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/hr zone
Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the motor vehicle was impounded.
