Brantford is getting its first taste of a brand-new Yuk Yuk’s comedy series, with the inaugural show landing at the Marriott Brantford on Friday, October 2nd. Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
The event is presented by the Marriott Brantford and proudly sponsored by Joshua Wall and The Lunar Webb Vendor Market and is held in support of the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation.
Headlining the night is Chris Quigley, one of Canada’s top comedians, who has been performing professionally since the age of 19 and has starred in an hour-long special on CTV’s “Comedy Now.” Known for his energetic, “kamikaze” style and sharp timing, Quigley brings clean, high-energy comedy suited for audiences of all ages.
Joining him is Greg Palone, a comedian from Oakville, Ontario, whose bold, charismatic style has earned him over 100 million video views online, appearances on CBS, and a spot at the Dark Comedy Festival. Palone has also had the honour of opening for the late Canadian comedy icon Mike Bullard.
Hosting the evening is Fiona O’Brien, a Dublin-born, Toronto-based comedian featured on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, Because News, Just For Laughs, and Sirius XM’s She’s So Funny. O’Brien has performed at festivals including Funny Women UK, Halifax, Boston, and Winnipeg, and released her comedy album “Magically Malicious” on iTunes and Spotify.
“This is about bringing something new to Brantford and doing it in a way that gives back to our community,” said Joshua Wall, event sponsor and co-founder of The Lunar Webb Vendor Market. “We wanted to kick off this series with a night of great comedy that also supports the incredible work of the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation.”
